What LiveSpend is

Your real spending, the moment it happens.

LiveSpend is a real-time credit card spending tracker built for Canada. It uses your bank's email transaction alerts to show each purchase the moment it happens, so you always know what you have actually spent, without waiting days for transactions to post.

Everything is built around spending awareness: a live total, spending pace, forecasts, automatic categories, and the patterns behind your habits.

Connect Gmail read-only

LiveSpend checks for your bank's alert emails. It cannot send, edit, or delete anything.

Pay as usual

Every charge lands in LiveSpend the second your bank sends its alert, not days later.

Why the bank balance is not enough

See the purchase before the balance catches up.

Bank balance

Waits for charges to crawl through pending and posted.

Available credit, current balance, and statement balance each update on their own schedule, sometimes days apart, so none of them tells you what you have spent right now.

LiveSpend

Counts the charge the moment your bank sends its alert.

You see the purchase right away, days before it posts, so your spending picture is always current while the bank does its paperwork.

LiveSpend complements your bank app. Your issuer remains the source of truth for statements and the amount due.

Common questions

What to know before you connect.

Does LiveSpend connect to my bank?

No. LiveSpend works from the transaction alert emails your bank sends, and you never enter your online banking credentials. There is no bank login, ever.

Which banks and cards work with LiveSpend?

LiveSpend works with credit cards from RBC, Scotiabank, BMO, CIBC, and National Bank, and it reads alerts from Gmail. AMEX, debit, Interac e-Transfer, other banks, and other inbox providers are not available yet.

Does LiveSpend replace my credit card statement?

No. LiveSpend is a spending-awareness tool. Your card issuer remains the source of truth for posted transactions, payment amounts, disputes, and statements.

What happens if a bank alert is delayed or missing?

LiveSpend shows what your bank sends, so if an alert arrives late, the charge appears when it does. Your issuer's official account activity is always the final word.

Is LiveSpend free?

Yes, LiveSpend is free to start. Pro adds multiple cards, full analysis, weekly insights, and higher limits.

Stop guessing what's left.
