Why LiveSpend exists

Credit card spending should be easier to follow.

LiveSpend was built for the frustrating space between making a purchase and seeing your bank balance catch up.

Paying is instant. Tracking it is not.

A credit card purchase can happen in seconds, but the balance you check may take days to catch up. Charges can sit pending, change as they settle, or briefly disappear from view. That leaves you doing mental math just to answer a simple question: how much have I actually spent?

A clearer view starts with the alert

LiveSpend uses email transaction alerts from the five banks it works with to add purchases to a current running view. Instead of waiting for every charge to finish posting, you can see recent spending as the alerts arrive, without sharing your bank login.

Know where you stand before the cycle ends

Your live total, spending pace, forecasts, categories, targets, and trends come together in one place. The goal is not to give you more numbers. It is to make the numbers you already care about easier to understand and act on.

Focused on doing one job well

LiveSpend is intentionally focused on credit cards from five Canadian banks and Gmail. It is available on iPhone and the web, with a simple experience built around one job: helping you understand your credit card spending while it is still happening.

Independent and built in Canada

LiveSpend is an independent product built and maintained in Canada. It is shaped by the everyday frustration of trying to stay on top of credit card spending. Questions and feedback go directly to support@livespend.app.
